Renowned exponent of Harikatha Sri Morari Bapuji, who was blessed with the title “Pravachana Vageesha” by Sringeri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, visited Sringeri as part of the Bharat Swastik Yatra on 12th October 2026 and had Darshan of the Sringeri Jagadguru Shankaracharyas that morning.

Two days earlier, on October 10, 2026, with the blessings of the Sringeri Jagadgurus, Sri Morari Bapu commenced the Bharat Swastik Yatra from Kanyakumari. As part of the Yatra, Sri Morari Bapu performs Ram Katha at various Kshetrams associated with the life of Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya.

After conducting Ram Katha on October 11 at Adi Shankaracharya Janmabhoomi Kshetram at Kalady, the sacred birthplace of the Jagadguru, Sri Morari Bapu arrived at Sringeri on October 12, marking the third day of the Bharat Swastik Yatra.

Sri Morari Bapu first had Darshan of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji. The team accompanying Sri Morari Bapu briefed the Jagadguru on the progress of the Bharat Swastik Yatra, following which the Jagadguru recollected Sri Morari Bapu having His Darshan at Prayagraj.

The Jagadguru then explained how, under the direction of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, the Sringeri Campus of the Central Sanskrit University, where Sri Morari Bapu would be performing the Ram Katha at Sringeri, came to be established in the sacred land of Sringeri, presided over by Sri Sharadamba, the Goddess of Knowledge.

The Jagadguru then conferred the Bharati Tirtha Puraskara upon Sri Morari Bapu in recognition of his contribution to the propagation of Ram Katha. The devotees accompanying Sri Morari Bapu were subsequently honoured by Sringeri Math CEO Sri P. A. Murali and received the blessings of the Jagadguru.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji then gave Darshan to Sri Morari Bapu and his group and blessed the Bharat Swastik Yatra.

During the Darshan, Sri Morari Bapu fondly recalled the Anugraha Bhashanam delivered by the Jagadguru in 1998, when he had conducted the entire Ram Katha at Sringeri, and remembered how the Jagadguru had explained certain episodes from the Srimad Ramayana. In particular, Sri Morari Bapu recollected the Jagadguru’s exposition on how Nature itself responded to Sri Rama as He searched for Mother Sita after Her abduction.

The Jagadguru, with immense joy, immediately recalled the relevant episode from the Valmiki Ramayana, describing how the deer suddenly rose, ran towards the south and indicated the sky, thereby showing Sri Rama the direction in which Mother Sita had been taken. The Jagadguru remarked on the beauty with which Maharshi Valmiki had portrayed this episode.

When asked how he was able to continue conducting Ram Kathas regularly at various places even after the age of eighty, Sri Morari Bapu replied that it was due to the title “Pravachana Vageesha” bestowed upon him by the Jagadguru in 1998.

The Jagadguru also blessed Sri Morari Bapu by touching his sacred copy of the Ramcharitmanas with His Lotus Hands and conveyed His benign blessings for the Bharat Swastik Yatra, which travels from Kanyakumari through Kalady to Kedarnath in its first leg, and from Dwaraka to Puri in its second leg.

Sri Morari Bapu then had Darshan of Sri Sharadamba, and proceeded to conduct the Ramkatha in the premises of Sri Bharati Tirtha Shastra Samutkarsha Kendram of the Central Sanskrit University, at Sringeri.

With the divine blessings of the Ubhaya Jagadgurus of the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Veena-Naada-Samarpanam was inaugurated today at the Sri Sharadamba temple in the divine presence of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam.

Veena-Naada-Samarpanam is a musical Samarpanam to Sri Sharadamba on the auspicious occasion of Sri Sharada Sharan Navaratrotsava. It is a sacred offering of pristine Naada resonating from Sri Sharadamba's own divine Vaadya, the Veena, independent of Saahitya & Artha (lyrics & lyrical meaning) and unaccompanied by percussion, voice or other instruments.

The Samarpanam is inspired by the purport of the Shlokas composed by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Nrisimha Bharati Mahaswamiji, the 33rd Acharya of the Peetham. The Acharya extols Sri Sharadamba in all Her glory, as She adorns varied Alankaras during the sacred Navarati period.

The underlying Rasa and Bhaava of each Alankara have been brought to life through a series of ten musical offerings, gracefully set to melody by Vidwan Sri Ramana Balachandran. The Sringeri Math is thankful to the Vidwan for weaving together these soulful renditions, through thoughtfully chosen Raagas that embody the essence of each Alankara. This Samarpanam is a free-flow of Manodharma (creative expression), based primarily on the framework of Thaanam (rhythmic improvisation) in the Carnatic music system. Thaanam is the very heartbeat of the Veena, where the Veena finds its richest expression, and is therefore the principal component of this musical Samarpanam at the Most Holy Lotus Feet of the Veena-dhaarini Sri Sharadamba.

At the Sri Sharadamba temple today, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam performed Sri Sharada Pratishtha Puja and then worshiped Sri Sharadamba adorned in the Hamsavahana Alankara. Thereafter, Jagadguru Sri Sri Sannidhanam, after His worship to Sri Sharadamba adorned in the Hamsavahana Alankara, blessed the silver Veena made as a symbolic offering of the Samarpanam by Guru-Seva Nirata Sri PA Murali, CEO & Administrator of the Sringeri Math. The Veena rendition corresponding to the Hamsavahana Alankara then started resounding in the Sri Sharadamba temple as the Jagadguru distributed Prasada to the Navaratri Seva-kartas.

Extracts of the audio track are uploaded on the Math’s Youtube channel every evening of Navaratri, accompanied by divine visuals of Jagadguru Sri Sri Mahasannidhanam’s worship of Sri Sharadamba in each of the ten Alankaras.

The 72nd Aradhana of the renowned Jivanmukta and the 34th Acharya of the Peetham, Jagadguru Sri Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji, was reverentially observed on the Mahalaya Amavasya day which fell on October 10, 2026 in this Parabhava Samvatsara. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam offered special Aradhana Puja at the Adhishthanam of His Paramaguru. Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam was also present to offer homage to His Parameshthi Guru.

Sri Mahasannidhanam also offered worship at His Guru’s Adhishthanam after the daily Chandramoulishwara Puja. The night Puja at the Adhishthanam included Rudra Krama Archana followed by Ashtaavadhaana Seva.

Devotees across the globe remembered the revered Acharya who led a life of intense Tapas, and has blessed us all with an invaluable commentary on Sri Adi Shankaracharya’s famous Prakarana Grantha, Vivekachoodamani.

The 37th Aradhana of Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamiji, the 35th Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham at Sringeri, was observed with fervent devotion at Sringeri for 3 days from October 02 to 04, 2026. The entire Adhishthanam complex in Narasimhavanam was beautifully decorated with flowers for the occasion. 

On each of these three days, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam offered special Aradhana Puja at His Guru’s Adhishthanam at noon. The first day marked the Pushpa Aradhana, the second day Gandha Aradhana and the third day, the Tirtha Aradhana. October 03 (Bhadrapada Krishna Saptami) was the main Aradhana day.

Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam was also present to offer homage to His Paramaguru. On October 03 and 04, Sri Sannidhanam distributed Gandha and Tirtha respectively to the assembled devotees at around 3:00 PM in Guru Nivas. 

Sri Mahasannidhanam also offered worship at His Guru’s Adhishthanam after the daily Chandramoulishwara Puja on all three nights. The night Puja at the Adhishthanam included Rudra Krama Archana followed by Ashtaavadhaana Seva. 

The Aradhana was also observed at various branches of the Peetham in worshipful remembrance of the 35th Acharya of the Peetham, who was a Yogi par excellence and had toured the length and breadth of India extensively and blessed innumerable devotees.

The annual Mahaganapati Vakyartha Vidwat Sabha that commenced on September 14, 2026 (Vinayaka Chaturthi day) with the blessings of Sringeri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam & under the presidentship of the Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam. The Sabha proceedings began with a Vakyartha (Shastric deliberation) by Sri Sannidhanam. The Sabha that began on such an auspicious note, took place for 14 days at Sri Sacchidananda Vilas in Narasimha Vanam and ended on September 27, 2026 at around 8:00 PM.

Scholars well versed in the Shastras of Vedanta, Mimamsa, Nyaya and Vyakarana from various parts of the country took part in the Sadas. On each day, the Sabha ended with Mahamangalarati to Lord Sabha Ganapati, Ashtaavadhaana Seva followed by the chanting of Ganesha Pancharatnam composed by Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya and Ganadhipa Pancharatnam composed by Jagadguru Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Nrisimha Bharati Mahaswamiji.

The valedictory function commenced with Veda Ghosha, Prarthana and Svaagata Vaak. This was followed by the valedictory address by the Administrator, Guruseva Nirata Sri P. A. Murali, and a special address by the Chief Guest, Shri N. Chandrasekaran, Executive Chairman of Tata Sons.

A significant highlight of the function was the release of three important publications:

1. Gaadaadhari Panchalakshani – विवृतिव्याख्यासहित-कृष्णम्भट्टीयसमेता
    The ‘Panchalakshani’ treatise of Śrī Gadādhara Bhaṭṭācārya, along with the ‘Krishnambhattiya’ commentary and the new ‘Vivṛti’ sub-commentary authored by
   Vidvān KE Devanathan
   (Brought out as the 29th publication of Sri Bharati Tirtha Veda  Shastra Grantha Mala of Sri Shankara Advaita Research Centre, Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri)

1. Vidwat Pratibha 2025 – Proceedings of Sri Mahaganapati Vakyartha Vidwat Sabha held in the Vishwavasu Samvatsara (2025) held as per the direction of Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswaminah and under the Presidentship of the Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji during the Chaturmasya Vrata at Sringeri.

1. E-Book titled “Dharma — The Spirit of Bhārat - Safeguarded by Abhinava Shankara, Sringeri Jagadguru Sri Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Narasimha Bharati Mahaswamiji” 

A glimpse into the Jagadguru’s multidimensional efforts to save Dharma from the impact of colonialism and safeguarding it for generations to come.

Advaita Sharada Release: advaitasharada.sringeri.net (revamped Online portal incorporating state-of-the-art technologies to further enhance the study, preservation and dissemination of the Shastras. New addition to the corpus being Vivekachudamani-vyakhya written by the renowned Jeevan Mukta Sringeri Jagadguru Sri Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji.

Then, Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam delivered a Benedictory speech in Sanskrit, highlighting the importance of the Shastra(s) and the timeless Guru-Shishya tradition in preserving and propagating the tradition.

Following the benedictory speech of Sri Sri Sannidhanam, Maha-Mangala-Aratrika was performed to the Vigraha of the Sabha-Ganapati, the Vigraha which had been duly installed at the commencement of the Vakyartha Sabha and worshipped daily throughout the fortnight. This was followed by Ashtavadhana Seva, chanting of Mantras from the four Vedas by the Math Pandits and Vadya and Mauri seva by the Sri Math musicians.

Chanting of the Mahaganapati Pancharatna Stava and Sri Ganadhipa Pancharatna Stava by the Pandits of the Sri Math, followed the Ashtavadhana Seva. The stotras were composed by Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya and the 33rd Jagadguru Shankaracharya of the Peetham, Sri Sri Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Narasimha Bharati Mahaswamiji respectively.

All the scholars were felicitated and received the Jagadguru’s blessings. The Sabha came to a close with the immersion of Sri Sabha Ganapati in the holy waters of the river Tunga in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam.
