Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam observed the Dakshinayana Punyakala at Sringeri on July 17, 2025. The Dakshinayana occurs when Surya moves from the Mithuna Rashi to the Karkataka Rashi. The Dharma Shastras proclaim the last twelve hours preceding this change of zodiac to be auspicious and hence the term Dakshinayana Punya Kaala. Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam performed an elaborate Ganga Puja during the Dakshinayana Punya Kala on the southern banks of the Tunga River. 

After Mahamangalarati, the Jagadguru Sri Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam proceeded to the Adhishtana Mandirams and witnessed the Aarati at the Adhishtanams of His Gurus. 

Later, the Poornahuti of Surya Homa was performed in the divine presence of Jagadguru Sri Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam.
